RE: Change in the Constitution of The Board of Directors

                                                                                         

 

The Board of Directors of The Lion Fund Limited (the “Company”) wishes to announce that with effect from 15 October 2009, Dennis Hunter resigned as director of the Company for business reasons.

 

In his place Robert Cottrell has been appointed to the Board of Directors with effect from 17 October 2009.

 

From 1982-89 Mr. Robert Cottrell was a correspondent in Hong Kong and Tokyo for the Financial Times and the Far Eastern Economic Review.  In 1990-92 he was China consultant to Kim Eng Securities in Hong Kong.  From 1993 – 2007 he was on the editorial staff of The Economist and during 1993, he served as Moscow and then Brussels bureau chief. He has co-written two studies of the eurozone for the Economist Intelligence Unit.  From 2007 until present, he has been a writer specialising in international relations. He also edits a current affairs website, www.TheBrowser.com.   He holds a BA and an MA degree from King's College, Cambridge.  He was born in England, and lives currently in Riga, Latvia, which is his wife's home country.
