The board of directors of the Company wishes to announce the following:
1 Investment Manager and Placement Agency
Following the sale of part of the asset management business of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc to Aberdeen Asset Management PLC (the "Transaction"), RBS Asset Management (Cayman) Limited is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. Consequently the name of RBS Asset Management (Cayman) Limited was changed to Aberdeen Asset Management Cayman Limited.
2 Investment Adviser
As of 29 January 2010, the appointment of Aberdeen Asset Managers Limited as Investment Adviser to the Investment Manager was approved by the Company by virtue of the novation of the Investment Advisory Agreement.
As at 31 December 2009, Aberdeen Asset Manager Limited was responsible for approximately US$232 billion of assets.
William Lawton and David Neuschaffer resigned as directors of the Company on 13 May 2009 and David Foster and Walo Meyer resigned as directors of the Company with effect from 29 January 2010.
Furthermore, Julian Reddyhough retired from the partnership of Maples and Calder with effect from 30 November 2009 but remains a Director of the Company for the time being.
4 Management Shares
An Aberdeen Asset Management group company currently holds 10 management shares of nominal value in the Company.
